National Awards and Leadership Development Program (MORE)

When it comes to youth, we are inundated with stories about gun violence, drugs, online abuse and bullying…but there are thousands of young people in this country doing outstanding things and developing into incredible people. The Top 20 Under 20™ Award program is designed to identify these outstanding young leaders, further develop them and profile them so that their ability to stand as role models for other young people increases dramatically.

We are determined, as an organization, that the positive energy, focus, dedication and peace-building initiatives embodied by these young people becomes viral on a global scale and snakes its way through all youth populations.

Courage to Soar LogoTop 20 Under 20 Annual Alumni Conference, held in a different province each year (MORE)

Courage to Soar offers young Canadian leaders an opportunity to come together to inspire one another, learn from one another, mentor one another and challenge one another. Being together for the four days of Courage to Soar during which time they are participating in team building and leadership development exercises, seminars, workshops and presentations, gives this group a hands-on, real-time and humane understanding of Canada, the Canadian mosaic and the differences province to province and urban to rural. Diversity is explored and experienced in practice. The alliances and friendships forged during Courage to Soar are inspiring to witness – what emerges are new social enterprises, new business ventures, heightened passions to make change, an awareness that other young leaders who have avoided negative peer pressure and stand as models in their communities exist and are accessible as friends.
