Councillor Eve Adams

Eve Adams was elected to City of Mississauga and Region of Peel Councils in 2003. She was re-elected in 2006 with more than a 120% increase in her plurality. Councillor Eve Adams is supporting Ward 5 as a member of the following Regional committees:

At the City of Mississauga, Councillor Eve Adams serves on the following committees:

For eight years, Ms. Adams was a provincial government employee serving in the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Citizenship and the Ministry of Energy, Science and Technology. She went on to become the Executive Director of an accounting association. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Living Arts Centre, the City of Mississauga Heritage Advisory Committee and the Traffic Safety Committee. At the Region of Peel, Councillor Adams also served as the Vice Chair of the Management Committee.
A community activist, Councillor Adams was a Director of the Peel Red Cross Board, a Neighbourhood Watch Leader, Volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Palliative Care and the MS Society.
Councillor Adams is multilingual. She has a bachelors (B.A.) degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Certificate in Negotiation from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law.
Her decision to run and represent Ward 5 was grounded in community activism and the desire for improvement. As a resident of Ward 5, Eve understands the challenges facing this community and its unique neighbourhoods.
Councillor Adams is the youngest member of Council and the first person to give birth while serving on Council. Her interests include hockey, soccer, basketball, canoeing, history and traveling. She and her husband have one son, a preschooler.
