Sherrie Mohamed
Sherrie Mohamed is a young woman with dreams of running for Municipal office one day. She has received training to run in municipal elections from the Maytree Foundation and has been an active member with Toronto Youth Cabinet for over four years. Greatly involved in creation of The Regional Champions Protégé Project, with the City of Toronto, Sherrie also participated as a intern being granted the opportunity to mentor Paula Fletcher, City Councillor Ward 30. In her spare time Sherrie is acting Founder of Womynation, a project that utilizes interdisciplinary arts as an expressive outlet to explore the multiple layers of the complex identities facing women of colour. A dedicated community member and activist, Sherrie soon aspires to go to law school. Currently, she is in her fourth year of study in Politics and Governance at Ryerson University.
