Louissa Barnes, Grade 10
Lorne Park Secondary School
Mississauga, Ontario

"In my spare time, I enjoy playing various instruments and have a passion for particpationg in my school band and choir as well as volunteering and helping others. I would like to pursue a career in law and/or medicine, and hope to someday attend the University of Toronto."
What Louissa had to say about WIP & G 2009
The Women In Politics Conference has shown me that a woman can run a household and accomplish anything a man can. I enjoyed hearing Karen Stintz speak about balancing her career and family, and the difficulties she faced. I also enjoyed hearing The Hon. Margarett Best speak about her life, and despite experiencing challenges she has attained great success. Overall, I found the Women in Politics and Government conference to be a trulyempowering event!
Emma Graham, Grade 12
St. Catharines, Ontario.

"As long as I can remember, I've had an interest in business, law and politics. I look forward to attending Queen's University to study Commerce this Fall, and couldn't be more thrilled to start this new chapter in my life and see where it takes me! I would like to pursue law after my undergraduate business degree."
What Emma had to say about WIP & G 2009
"I was fortunate to have Ms. Deborah Gillis, Vice- President of Catalyst Inc., as my advisor and career role model at the conference. I found her to be very friendly and approachable. Deborah inspired me to consider the not-for-profit sector in my future career pursuits. It was an absolute privilege to meet such an inspiring woman. Mayor Marolyn Morrison's story was very engaging and interesting!"
