To be eligible, you cannot be currently working in a paid job, not attending school and not receiving any Employment Insurance Benefits.

MENTORS
Each participant is paired with a female Mentor (could this be you?), who will provide support to assist the participants in maximizing their employability skills. Mentors act as “job coaches" to facilitate the success of the work placement. Mentor information sessions and training is provided by Youth in Motion.

EMPLOYERS
Employers are committed to their community, interested in assisting young women with employment barriers to gain work experience and provide a supportive work environment.

Employers agree to provide 6 month, full-time work placement. Participants are pre-screened by Youth in Motion and have completed a full-time 4-week “Employability Skills Training” program prior to work placements.

Interns receive minimum wage paid by the Government of Canada.
